The role of ISO coordinator (Management Representative (MR)) is very crucial in the speedy implementation and certification of ISO 9001 or any management system standard (ISO 14001, ISO45001, OHSAS 18001, ISO22000, ISO27001, ISO 13485, TS 16949) (Even though 2015 version has done away with formal MR). The duties and responsibilities of MRs are so varied and hence he/she should have very good interpersonal skills, co-ordinating skills, communication skills, organizing skills etc. In fact MR is the kingpin of ISO 9001 Quality Systems. In this highly competitive economic environment, the quality management systems will help you a lot in your path to achieve excellence.
Even though mandatory requirement of the post of MR has been discontinued in the 2015 version, the role of such a person(s ) is crucial to sustain the system with required rigor and effectiveness.
